“What shape waits in the seed of you to grow and                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     spread your branches against a future sky.”

Earth-Centered Practices

We are in a time of great-change as our environment is being drastically altered impacting the landscape, the climate, the ability for all beings to find sanctuary and nourishment. This change is slowing altering the face of the earth’s landscape creating shifts in its core resources and the extinction of hundreds of species. Our attention is imperative if the earth as well as human survival is to be considered. But will we take heed, will we change how we engage the earth. Will we remember our place in the more than human world and our role in both it’s destruction and survival, in our survival?  Maybe our dreams could assist in this remembering.

Dreaming Back to the Earth has its roots in Depth Ecology, Ecopsychology, and dreamwork modalities such as Relational & Embodied. I draw on the understanding of nature as “self” and thus extend that self-outward into our connection to the natural world. Indeed, for our survival and the survival of our planet, we must break down the illusion of our separation from the natural world. We must heal the split between human and earth to end our own suffering and despair and to avert the impending ecological disaster that looms before us. Theologian Thomas Berry reminds us that, “A degraded habitat will produce a degraded human,” and in turn, a human who degrades the environment will him or herself degrade. We cannot heal our personal story unless we also are healing our ecological story. If we believe this is so, then it is imperative that we explore healing pathways that guide us to the wisdom of our story interwoven with the voice of the Earth.

Dreams offer a path to healing both the personal and the ecological. Their light illuminates our psyche, a collective living fossil of our primitive soul self as Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung suggests. Our dreams offer a threshold to accessing profound wisdom offered through stories and guided with metaphors and archetypes. These stories tap into the universal unconsciousness mirroring back to us who we are and desire to become.

I offer earth based practices which alone or in tandem with dreamwork will assist the participant in  growing their awareness of and relationship to the more then human world. I believe that through our personal healing and our unique manifestation of that wholeness in the world, we also work to heal the grief, alienation and exile associated with the ecological devastation of our planet.

I offer opportunities such as retreats, guidance to create ceremonies, earthwalks, dream sweats, classe,s and more that encourage you to dive into the mysteries of the landscape around us.

Whether you choose to participate in earth based  practices or bring the guidance of your dreams in.

I invite you to step into remembering.. to the heart of the earth…to the place we call home.

Earth Based Spiritual Counseling &                            Mentorship

Throughout all religions and spiritualties the earth has been revered and honored.  As a young child raise in the Roman Catholic tradition I found solace and guidance from hours spent sitting in open fields, hiking along hidden paths in the forest or swimming in the cool lake waters of my home. Often I would speak with blooming flowers or dance with butterflies in the early morning as I waited for the school bus. The innocence of childhood provided an opening to spirit/the divine through nature that was potent and lasting.

The Earth Journey

There are times in our lives when we feel a longing to change either through heartache, boredom or a deep yearning for something different. Our deepest self requires this change as a path to wholeness. Often this change necessitates a releasing of old habits, a marking of a new transition in life or a journey to discover where we go from here.

Ritual & Ceremony Guidance

Ritual and ceremony is a means of bringing to life our desires and relationships. It is a living practice that comes from our spiritual and cultural roots. Many people find that incorporating ritual into their daily life brings a deeper awareness of self, desires, and motivation to walk the path of their longings.
